By now you should know all about my sweet tooth. I can’t help it… sugar calls to me the way the water calls to Moana. Growing up, I loved the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was fuel for my imagination and I loved that someone else found sweet treats to be as enticing as I did. Now, here I am as an adult, and my chocolate factory dreams have come true at the Videri Chocolate Factory.
Does anyone else dream of chocolate? The Videri Chocolate Factory has chocolate in every form and fashion you can imagine. The smell, the look, the taste - it’s just all so wonderful to take in. If some of you had no idea that Raleigh had its very own chocolate factory - I’m here to spread the word!
We all just experienced a lovely Easter Sunday. I’m grateful for two things this Easter: the tomb was empty (hallelujah) and there is no social stigma on chowing down on a chocolate bar shaped like an Easter egg or Easter Bunny. Haha! Videri Chocolate Factory really goes all out for holidays and truly makes gift-giving easy. I have three words for you: Jingle Bell Caramels! Take a look at all of these holiday goodies… Who wouldn’t want one of these???
Allergens are a big deal these days and Videri does a great job of keeping that in mind. They are nut free, gluten free, soy free, egg free, and they also have vegan options available. They also boast their bean-to-bar chocolate because they don’t use fillers like soy lecithin, xanthan gum, or artificial flavorings. See? - there’s a silver lining to everything. I’m all about balance - I’m going to enjoy a large bar of chocolate, but I won’t feel guilty because I know I’m eating quality ingredients.
Videri Chocolate Factory has so many unique options. From Cocoa Tea to Hot Cocoa Bombs - the selection is fantastic! They have a vegan gift box that contains things like whipped olive oil and orange ganache, and they have a Crunch Bundle Box (my favorite). A really neat thing they do is offer a single origin bundle box. Did you know that the flavor of cacao is different based on the region in which it’s grown? They offer this single origin sampler so that you can taste the unique chocolate flavors from various regions - how cool!

One of my employees has no sweet tooth, unless you’re talking about ice cream - then she’s in heaven! Videri has Chocolate or Vanilla soft serve ice cream and you can top it with so many treats! Like maple granola, whipped cream, cookie crumble, or hand-crafted chocolate. The flavor combos are endless and keep me coming back for more!
Willy Wonka may have been willing to give up his chocolate factory, but I’ll never give up mine. Videri Chocolate Factory is a part of Raleigh, and I am over the moon grateful.
