Packhouse Coffee Company in Youngsville

There’s something about finding a new favorite coffee spot that warms my heart. Forget the typical coffee chain - been there, drank that. Discovering a new place that also helps support a local business is like the chocolate drizzle to my hot chocolate. I’m excited to share the Packhouse Coffee Company in Youngsville - my new local coffee find.

At first glance, it looks like a very unassuming cute tiny shed, but when you see the line of locals, you know you’ve stumbled across something special. The selection is impressive and the service is friendly and personable. While waiting for my drink, the barista at the window asked me to join in on waving hello to the conductor on a passing train. The conductor blared his horn as we waved and I felt like I was in a small-town Hallmark movie, just waiting for my hot coffee and a local southern gentleman to sweep me off my feet.

Now for the taste, because what is a new local coffee shop without a delectable flavor to back it up? I have been trying out various coffee shops for years. I can honestly say that Packhouse Coffee Company has the best dirty chai tea latte I’ve ever tasted. I will plan extra time in my day to drive to Youngsville just for the satisfaction of driving off with that flavorful beverage. And if you find yourself there later in the day, they have a great selection of decaf options for those of us who can’t handle our evening caffeine.

If yummy treats are your jam, their pastries are scrumptious and have definitely added to my already holiday-expanded waistline. Haha. Regardless of if you’re there for the pasties, coffee, hot cocoa, or my favorite dirty chai tea latte, you will not regret the trip. Be adventurous, be spontaneous, and better yet, be in line at Packhouse Coffee Company. I hope to see you there so you can share in the best-kept secret we locals all know and love.
