The Willard Rooftop Lounge in Raleigh
There are a lot of great eateries and bars all across Raleigh. Raleigh locals are thankful for the wide selection of unique restaurants and the great tastes they get to experience living in this wonderful part of North Carolina. When you get to add fantastic ambiance and breathtaking views to the mix, you know you’ve found something special.
The Willard Rooftop Lounge, nestled between Glenwood South and the Warehouse District is that special place. Their food and drinks are delicious, and their views are spectacular. Being able to overlook Raleigh’s beautiful skyline while sipping your favorite cocktail or wine is an experience all its own.
I like to go there with coworkers while I’m in town but they also host bachelorette brunches, birthday parties, company cocktail hours, and even wedding receptions. They also host various fun nights like yoga on the rooftop, stargazing with telescopes, and even Cocktails & Cuisine Classes where you get to learn how to make and then pair various cocktails with their menu offerings.
Their drink menu is impressive. I am a fan of their Tropical Crush which features bumbu rum, pineapple, coco lopez, guava, orange blossom water, and lemon. I can’t wait to try their FLATBREAD & BUBBLY special. Every Monday in September, you can choose from their flatbreads and a glass of sparkling wine for $20.
Those who know me know I’m all about brunches and The Willard Rooftop Lounge does them well. Their brunch menu includes things like Hot Honey Chicken & Waffle Sandwich, Shrimp & Grits, Eggs Benedict, and even Stuffed French Toast with brie and cinnamon apples.
I keep eyeing pictures of their burgers. Especially their new Bacon Burger that comes with wagyu beef and pomegranate-candied slab bacon with shropshire blue cheese, pickled red onion, and roasted garlic aioli on brioche. Yum! If you’re looking for a healthy option, you must try one of their salads with a twist.
I can’t wait to visit them this winter and sip on my cocktail, surrounded by their gorgeous Christmas decor and snuggled up by their fireplace.
