A large burger, side salad, and cocktail with a Bach Burger sign behind them. Located in Durham, NC. Blog by Jami Amidon, local Realtor

Two agents on our team recently went to a gastropub in Durham called Burger Bach (pronounced “batch”). They were raving about it, so I decided to do a little research into what makes this burger joint so great.

A Bach is a small family vacation home or modest beach house in New Zealand. I found on their website that their beef and lamb are raised on small family farms in New Zealand where GMOs are illegal, and where there are no hormones or antibiotic growth promotants. They have locations in Midlothian, Short Pump, Charlottesville, Durham, and Carytown. They make most items fresh in-house including their russet potato fries and their amazing selection of sauces.

I love dipping sauces - they add flavor options to enhance any dish. Their house-made selection is quite impressive with dips like Roasted Onion Dip, Basil Pesto Aioli, Roasted Jalapeño Remoulade, Chipotle Cilantro, Manuka Honey Mustard, and Blueberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce - just to name a few.

They have so many burger options and even feature burgers of the month. They have various fry flavor combos and I saw nachos that made my mouth water. They carry an extensive drink menu that pairs well with whichever entree you select.

Overall, I can see why my co-workers spoke so highly of Burger Bach in Durham. I can’t wait to go try it and show them a Little Local Love
